What is the 5-4-3-2-1 technique?

It's a clinically-backed grounding method used by therapists to help with anxiety and panic. You focus on 5 things you see, 4 you touch, 3 you hear, 2 you smell, and 1 you taste. It brings your attention from anxious thoughts back into your body and the present moment.

Is this a subscription?

No. Grounded is $0.99, one time, forever. Every feature and every future update is included. No trials, no tiers, no recurring charges.

Does Grounded collect my data?

No. All your data (mood logs, sessions, preferences) stays on your device. We don't use analytics, tracking, or any third-party services. See our privacy policy for details.

Do I need an internet connection?

No. Grounded works entirely offline. No account required, no sign-up, no internet needed.

How do I delete my data?

Since everything is stored locally on your device, simply deleting the app removes all data. There's nothing on our end to delete.

Can I restore my purchase on a new device?

Yes. Since it's a one-time purchase through the App Store, you can re-download it on any device signed into the same Apple ID at no extra cost.

The haptics aren't working.

Make sure your iPhone's silent mode switch is off and that System Haptics are enabled in Settings > Sounds & Haptics. Haptics are not available on all devices.
