How do I create a house? ▼

Open FairShare and tap "Create House." Enter a name for your house and tap the button. You'll get a unique invite code (like ABCD-1234) to share with your roommates.

How do I invite my roommates? ▼

Go to the Roomies tab and tap the share button next to your house code. Send the code to your roommates via text, email, or any messaging app. They enter the code in FairShare to join.

How do I add a purchase? ▼

On the Home tab, use the Quick Add section at the top. Type the item name and price, optionally attach a receipt photo, then tap "Add." It's attributed to your account and visible to all house members instantly.

How are balances calculated? ▼

FairShare divides the total spending for the current month equally among all house members. If you've spent more than your fair share, others owe you the difference. The Balances section shows exactly who owes whom.

What are Smart Savings? ▼

Smart Savings analyzes what your house buys frequently and suggests cheaper alternatives — like Subscribe & Save deals or bulk packs on Amazon. When you tap a suggestion, it opens the product on Amazon. FairShare earns a small commission at no extra cost to you.

Can I leave a house? ▼

Yes. Go to Settings and tap "Leave House." Your member data will be removed. If you're the house owner, you'll need to transfer ownership or delete the house first.

How do I export my data? ▼

Go to Settings and tap "Export Purchases." This generates a CSV file with all your house's purchase history that you can share or save.

Is my data private? ▼

Your purchase data is only visible to members of your house. We never sell or share your data with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

How do I delete my account? ▼

Email us at support@fairshareapp.com with your request. We'll remove all your personal data within 48 hours.

Is FairShare free? ▼

Yes, FairShare is completely free. We earn revenue through affiliate commissions when you use Smart Savings suggestions — at no extra cost to you.
